Morgan Ensberg collected 4 RBI with one swing of the bat as the Burbank Tigers
defeated the Jefferson Park Penguins 6 to 4 at the ballpark.
Ensberg had a big day at the plate. He hit a single in the 2nd inning and
cleared the bases with a Grand Slam homerun (his 3rd of the season) in the
5th inning. Burbank rapped out 8 hits for the afternoon.
Mike Maroth(11-7) allowed 4 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory.
Maroth was helped out by Francis Beltran who recorded his 1st save. Bronson
Arroyo(6-7) was the loser. He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits and 3 walks in
4 and 2/3 innings.
With this win, Burbank has a 34-64 record. They have been 3-7 lately. Even
with the loss, Jefferson Park still has a nice 9-1 record in recent weeks.
They are 61-37 on the season.
